ABOUT
'It is enough when a single note is beautifully played.'
Having completed his Master’s in Sacred Music from Catholic University, Eric has spent his DC sojourn in the chorus of the Maryland Lyric Opera, assistant conducting the Catholic University Chamber Choir, and singing professionally with the Washington Master Chorale, with whom he was recently the tenor soloist to be featured in an album on the Albany Record label. He continues to serve as tenor section leader and rehearsal chironomer for Saint Bernadette parish in Silver Spring and is a member of the early music ensemble Chantry, concurrently serving as a regular sub at the National Shrine and at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew.
For Saint Anselm’s Preparatory School in Northeast, he serves as music director for their fall musicals, and at the National Shrine of Saint John Paul II, Eric conducts some of their more prominent liturgies. He was recently hired on as the tenor in the Shrine’s solo quartet and was among the final eight in the recent audition for the Tenor I position for the United States Army Men's Chorus of Pershing's Own. After earning his BA in English with a concentration in Latin from the University of Dallas, he spent many years teaching at independent Catholic schools throughout the country, including Faustina Academy, Saint Gregory’s Academy, and Cistercian Preparatory School.
